I want to make my permed hair look beautiful! What kind of wax should I choose? I want my permed hair to look soft and natural, not stiff or too sticky!
Wax for perms, three different types!
Wax used for perms can be broadly classified into three types.
[Fiber type]
This is also called the fiber type. This type has extremely high viscosity and stretches very well. Thanks to this “elongation,” it is very easy to handle and extends well into the hair.
The biggest advantage of this wax is that it gives the hair a “bundled” feel. With this wax, it is possible to create unique hairstyles, such as having only the sides of the face moist and cohesive, while the back is softly permed.
Matte type.
This type is also called “matte type. As the name suggests, a very matte texture can be created.
This type is very good at creating “soft perms like a foreign girl” and “soft, girlish perms that change expression with movement. It is not sticky and looks very natural because it creates a perm that flutters beautifully when it is exposed to the wind.
Cream type
The cream type has the advantages of both the matte type and the fiber type. It allows you to freely coordinate your hairstyle to a certain extent and guarantees good movement to a certain extent. It can be called an excellent student among waxes, and because it maintains an average point, it is a type that is easy for anyone to handle.
For a firm wavy style, most hairdressers use a mousse type of wax.
Which one do you choose? Which one to choose?
This is due to the characteristics of permed hair.
In fact, perms look most beautiful when the hair has been washed and the excess water (soaked) has been wiped away. So you apply wax before drying to maintain this state.
For beginners of perms, we recommend a mousse-type wax that is stretchy and easy to apply. Many of them are not sticky and contain ingredients that keep curls beautifully in place, allowing you to get a good perm.
Your perm will look many times more beautiful with just the right styling products. Wax is surprisingly inexpensive and easy to try. And it’s fun to enjoy the difference between having it on and not having it on!
