You don’t have to have the same blow-dryer technique as a hair stylist to get shiny, salon-quality hair. Just make a little effort with your regular hair dryer and go out with shiny hair every day!
The basic “3 steps” to dry shiny
We tend to dry our hair from the face and ends, but just by changing the order in which we dry our hair, we can dry our hair quickly without getting odd kinks and also reduce damage to our hair. Starting today, please use the three-step order to protect your hair and scalp from damage and dryness.
Bangs
First, dry bangs first, as they are the “frame of the face” and are easily prone to kinks. Apply air to the hair in the opposite direction to the direction you want it to go, so the roots will stand up softly and you can set your hair beautifully.
Roots
Next, separate the hair around the face, above the ear, and below the ear and dry. The key is to “dry from the root. Moisture travels from the roots to the ends of the hair, so drying hair from the ends will only slow down the drying process and damage the hair. However, it is not advisable to use a hair dryer close to the scalp. Make sure to keep the hair dryer at least 15 cm away from the scalp, and direct the air from the roots while shaking the hair dryer.
Whole hair
When you feel that your hair is 80-90% dry, use cold air at the end to completely dry your hair. The last application of cold air will tighten the cuticles and make your hair shiny.
When it is difficult to dry hair, it is easy to end the hair-drying process with water remaining in the hair, but the cuticles are open. If this is the case, UV rays and friction with pillows will cause the cuticles to peel and become damaged. It is also bad for the hygiene of the scalp, so please remove the moisture completely.
Volumizing Techniques
If you have fine hair, you want volume. You can solve this problem by the way you apply the dryer to the roots. When you apply the dryer to the roots, include a standing up motion.
Look down and let the hair at the top hang down in front of you. Apply the hair dryer from the back of the head as it is and dry about 50% of the hair. After that, blow from 360 degrees, from front to back, from right to left, and from left to right. This will make the hair on the top stand up softly.
Volume Reduction Techniques
If your hair is thick and easily spread out, to reduce volume, after separating the hair in the drying order, first apply the hair dryer to the hair below the ears from above until it is 90% dry, and then lightly pull the hair dry. Then dry the hair above the ears and around the face in the same way while pulling, and finally apply cold air from above as well.
What do you think? Just by changing the way you use your hair dryer, you can get everything you need: shortening time, damage care, and design! Start practicing today and become a woman with beautiful hair.
