Permanent styles are easy to set every morning. However, as time goes by, you end up wearing your hair in a bun to cover up the sloppiness…can’t you do something about it? Have you ever had this problem? Here is an easy way to set your hair using only wax.
Why is wax good?
The reason why we recommend wax among a wide variety of styling materials such as wax, gel, and mousse is because wax is outstanding in its ease of use: its setting power lasts, it is easy for beginners to adjust the amount of wax applied, and it can be mixed with oil.
In particular, it is easy to create lightness, scrunchy movement, and bunchiness in permed styles, and there are many types depending on what kind of hairstyle you want to achieve, so please find your favorite styling material. Even if you are worried about your hands getting sticky, recently there are waxes that can also be used as hand cream, so you are sure to find something you like.
So, let’s find your favorite wax and style your permed style more prettily.
Makeover with just a little wax! How to create unkempt hair in just 3 steps
The first key to styling permed styles is to start styling when the hair is wet. When we say wet, we don’t mean soaking wet at the roots, but it is best when the roots are dry and the part you want to style is damp. Hair will harden in that state when completely dry, so be sure to start here. Now let’s start styling with wax.
- Spread an appropriate amount of wax on your hands.
First, take about a pearl of wax on your palm and spread it over your entire palm up to between your fingers. - Apply wax to entire hair.
Put your hand inside the hair and apply wax to the entire hair, lifting the hair from the bottom to the top. This completes most of the styling. Leave it to dry naturally and your hair will keep its sharply permed look for a day. - Finishing touches
Look at the entire hair and pull out strands with fingertips in areas where you want to create a soft, translucent wave. For the ends where you want to create a bunchy look, twist the strands together with fingertips.
For a more frizzy look, try holding down the ends of the hair with one fingertip and back-hairing with the other fingertip.
How do you like it? It’s easy, isn’t it? Try using wax tomorrow!
Wax + oil is the back way to add shine.
When you like the fluffy, frizzy look of a permed style but also want a glossy look, I recommend mixing a little hair care oil into the wax. For about one pearl of wax, about one grain of rice is enough oil. If you mix too much, the styling power will decrease and the texture will become gritty, so be careful with the amount.
With this simple arrangement, the permed style you were bored with will be more fun and cute from tomorrow.
