A must for anyone who wants to keep their scalp healthy! Oil cleansing with camellia oil

頭皮を健やかに保ちたい方必見!椿油を使ったオイルクレンジング

When it comes to cleaning the scalp, shampooing is the way to go, but few people know that oil cleansing is even better for the scalp. In this issue, we will show you how to care for your scalp using camellia oil.

Camellia oil is the best oil cleanser

Oil cleansing with camellia oil clears sebum from pores and leaves the scalp pale and clean. When styling, the top of the head will be lifted and shiny. In simple terms, this is the state of hair after a head massage at a salon.

To get the same effect as a head massage at home, use the following oil cleansing method.

Apply camellia oil directly to the scalp.

Scratch the scalp, apply it firmly to the scalp, and blend it all over the scalp. Be careful here to use it on a “dry” scalp. The oil cleansing effect is achieved when the oil from the scalp and the camellia oil mix with the same “oil”. After rinsing, water remains on the scalp, which repels the oil and prevents it from being as effective as it should be.

Massage the scalp

Gently massage the entire scalp in a circular motion, not on the hair, but firmly on the skin. At this point, be careful not to rub the scalp too hard in an attempt to scrub out the dirt. Once the oil and grease mix, the dirt will naturally be removed from the pores, so no force is needed.

Emulsify with lukewarm water

After the oil massage is finished, fill a washbowl with warm water, pour a little on the scalp with your hands, and massage the scalp again in a gentle circular motion. Using the properties of water and oil that do not mix, the water will raise the mixture of sebum and camellia oil from the pores (emulsification).

thoroughly rinse

Emulsification has occurred and dirt has risen to the surface of the scalp. Apply your fingers firmly to the scalp and rinse thoroughly to ensure that no residue remains. We recommend rinsing for at least one minute.

Shampoo twice.

Camellia oil cannot be removed by rinsing alone; it will stick to the hair and make the shampoo less foamy. The first rinse should be a light lather and a quick rinse, and the second should be a thorough lather so that the excess oil is covered by the lather.

Never rub shampoo too hard. And a mild detergent is recommended. Since the oil cleansing process has already thoroughly removed dirt, shampooing too hard will damage the scalp. Please shampoo gently, as if you are just removing camellia oil.

After the second shampoo, rinse thoroughly again.

Camellia oil contains oleic acid, which is the same component of sebum that is abundant in human skin, so it is very compatible with sebum. Because it cleanses with something that is naturally present in the skin, it is also very safe. This is the most suitable point for oil cleansing.

It also contains an ingredient called “saponin,” which has a bactericidal effect and reduces the smell of the scalp.

Camellia oil is resistant to oxidation, which reduces the risk of clogging pores if there is any residue left on the scalp after rinsing.

There is nothing better than camellia oil for oil cleansing.

Points to keep in mind as you continue

Please refrain from doing oil cleansing every day just because it clears pores. Since oil cleansing thoroughly removes sebum, daily cleansing can deprive the scalp of the sebum that is necessary, causing the sebaceous glands (the organs that secrete sebum) to become hyperactive in their efforts to replenish sebum, which can lead to a scalp environment that produces excessive sebum.

It is advisable to do this once every two to three weeks, as it is better to do it only after the pores become clogged. (For those who have low sebum to begin with, please keep a longer interval between oil cleansings.)

Camellia oil should be 100% pure. Avoid those with mineral oil mixed in. They may excessively remove sebum and cause skin problems.

By keeping your scalp healthy, your hair will have bounce and luster, and you will always look your youthful self. Take regular care of your scalp.
